REGINA – A senior officer with the Regina Police Service is facing three charges under the Municipal Police Discipline Regulations after a recent review by the Public Complaints Commission (PCC).
The PCC received an allegation in January 2014 alleging inappropriate conduct by a Regina police officer. The incident was investigated and the findings were forwarded to Chief of Police Troy Hagen in March.
The member has been charged with Discreditable Conduct, Neglect of Duty and Improper Disclosure of Information under the Municipal Police Discipline Regulations.
The member was placed on administrative leave on April 1st and now has been suspended pending the outcome of the matter.
The Regina Police Service maintains that this is a disciplinary issue and not a criminal matter, and will not make the name of the officer public.
