Reilly Smith Not Talking To Brother Brendan Because He Plays For Detroit

BOSTON (CBS) – Bruins Seventh Player Award winner Reilly Smith joined The Adam Jones Show to talk some playoff hockey last night, and about the Bruins’ match-up with the Detroit Red Wings.

Smith’s brother Brendan is a defenseman for Detroit, so Jones asked him about that relationship right off the bat. The Bruins’ forward said that playing his brother is going to be different this time because the stage is so much bigger. He said their meetings on the ice are usually heated, and that facing-off in the playoffs is going to make it more intense.

Reilly said the brothers talk quite a bit, and constantly exchange text messages, but that’s changed over the last few days.
