After yesterday’s surge into the splendid 70s, it’s still warm and rather muggy today as temperatures rise to the middle to upper 60s this afternoon. April has actually turned out milder than we had expected a month ago thanks to the warm days over the past week. That is all going to change as a strong cold front moves through the region late this afternoon and evening. At 1 PM, it’s 68 in Boston while it’s only 32 and snowing in Buffalo. Temperatures will fall to the upper 40s by midnight then to the upper 30s by 6am and will stay below average for the next 3 days. Overnight low temperatures will drop into the middle 30s along the coast to the middle 20s farther inland where some frost may occur.
