SASKATOON – Donations are pouring in to a teen after the recyclable bottles and cans he was saving up for a dream trip were stolen last Friday.
Hudson Marchewka, who has lived with autism and epilepsy his entire life and was recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, was saving up so he could take his grandparents with him on his trip to “Thomas Land” in the United Kingdom.
He is now a quarter of the way towards reaching his goal thanks to the generosity of people who have heard his story.
“I never, ever dreamed that it would be this big, come this far,” said Mimi Marchewka, Hudson’s mother.
“It feels like a volcano has exploded – with bottles. We have had three lots of bottles taken into SARCAN already and we have more bottles coming.”
