The search for stolen Kelowna store cat Annie

KELOWNA — They’re open for business but there’s something missing from the isles at Kelowna’s Buckerfields.

The resident cat, Annie, was stolen Saturday afternoon. According to staff, a woman came in the store picked up Annie and walked out.

Employee, Chelsea Trudel, who was first alerted to the “catnapping,” ran outside the store after hearing Annie had been stolen, but the woman was already inside a vehicle, leaving the scene.

Turdel describes the woman as Caucasian, roughly 5’5″ and in her 40s or 50s. A man was behind the wheel of the vehicle, an orange pickup truck, which is similar to the picture below:

Turdel believed the licence plate was HK0306, but police say that plate number doesn’t match their records.

Annie has the tattoo 76KNA in one of her ears and the other ear is partly ripped.
