Farmland value going up in Saskatchewan

Global News

REGINA – Farm Credit Canada says Saskatchewan saw the highest average increase in farmland value in Canada last year.

The F-C-C’s annual report says the average value shot up by more than 28 per event, yet land in Saskatchewan is still less expensive than in the neighbouring provinces.

But it says the latest increase is part of a trend that shows farmland values in Saskatchewan rising since 2002.

Values increased in all provinces last year except Newfoundland and Labrador, where they remained unchanged.
