TORONTO – Tuesday morning’s commute could be a messy one across the GTA as winter weather makes a comeback across southern Ontario.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of southern Ontario, warning people to be prepared for a sudden drop in temperatures and strong wind gusts as an Arctic cold front sweeps into the region.

In the GTA, the thermometer will drop from 20 C on Monday afternoon to near freezing overnight Monday. The rain that is expected to move into the region Monday afternoon will change to snow or mixed precipitation. There won’t be a lot of snow on the ground, but it could make the roads…
