MONTREAL – Montreal police are investigating three overnight fires early Monday morning.
One of the fires was in the city’s Sud-Ouest borough.
The other two were in Rivière-des-Prairies.
The arson squad is on all three scenes, but has yet to determine if the fires are connected.
At 11:20 p.m., police received a 911 call about a fire on Laprairie street near Saint-Patrick in the Sud-Ouest.
The fire department discovered a fire burning in a section of the partially-abandoned building.
After an initial investigation of the two-storey building, firefighters concluded that the blaze was suspicious and transferred the case to the arson squad.
Soon after at 12:30 a.m. in Rivière-des-Prairies, police received several phone calls reporting that a vehicle was on fire in a driveway on Pierre-Baillargeon avenue near Albert-Chamberland street.
